Areas of scientific interests: problems of durability of reinforced concrete and sustainable development, special binders and concretes, nanotechnology in construction, chemical additives for concrete and mortars.

Major contributions to science and technology

Development of new types of effective chemical additives for concrete and mortars (superplasticizers, accelerators, retarders, expanders, air entrainers, etc.), creation of new types of highly functional concretes, incl. especially high-strength, self-sealing, radio-shielding, etc., development of methods for protecting against corrosion and increasing the durability of reinforced concrete structures, predicting their life cycle.
